Alexandre is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Wood and Forest Sciences. He specializes in remote sensing (LiDAR and satellite imagery) applied to forest ecosystems, and in enhanced forest inventories.

Pyrosylviculture: Modeling, implementation and monitoring of treatments for adaptive forest management in the face of fires

Developing and testing new forest management practices known as
"pyrosylviculture", with the objective of creating
landscapes that are more resistant to fires while maintaining biodiversity and cultural values.
